What is Female Hair Transplant?
A hair transplant is a surgical procedure in which hair is removed from one part of the body (called the "donor site") and transplanted to another part of the body (called the "recipient site").
In the case of a woman's hair transplant, the procedure is specifically designed to address female-pattern hair loss, which typically presents as thinning hair on the top of the head or along the hairline. There are several different techniques that can be used to perform a hair transplant in women, including follicular unit transplantation (FUT) and follicular unit extraction (FUE). The specific technique used will depend on the individual's needs and the recommendations of the surgeon.
How is Hair Transplantation Performed for Women?
Planning and Consultation
Blood Analysis
Preparation and Local Anesthesia
The area of application is sterilized and local anesthesia is applied to prevent you from feeling any pain. Local anesthesia is performed by injecting the active substance to the relevant areas by an ultra-fine tip needle. For those who are afraid of needle, there is a very easy and painless alternative. It ensures that the active substance penetrates the skin painlessly thanks to a pressured spraying process, we apply the needle required for anesthesia after that area becomes numb. In this way, you don’t feel any pain.
Extraction of Grafts
We usually exact the grafts from the area where the hair is most abundant and strong, that is the back of neck, between two ears. You don’t feel anything because this area is completely numb. If we need more grafts, we can extract grafts from the chest or from under the chin (applicable for men). The FUE Technique where the grafts are extracted one by one provides us with this possibility in a highly aesthetic way.
Opening Channels
At this stage where the Sapphire FUE Technique is used and shows its difference, we open micro channels with sapphire tips in the direction of the natural hair to the area where the grafts will be transplanted. Since you are under local anesthesia, you do not feel anything during this process. It takes approximately 45-60 minutes depending on the number of grafts planted. A lunch break can be given before or after this procedure. You can also go to the toilet if you need to.
Transplantation Application
At this stage, we transfer the grafts we take to the determined area with the most appropriate density and angle. 2 or 3 personnel work at the same time in the hair transplantation process. Fast completion of the procedure is important for the health of the grafts. This process may take 3 hours for an average of 4000 graft hair follicles. You are most likely to sleep at this stage.
Post-application Process
One or two days after the surgery, the first hair wash is done in our clinic by a specialist team. We inform you about how to wash your hair during the washing process. First, we spray the foamy spray on the planting area and wait for 15-20 minutes. Then we clean the foam from our hair with non-pressure water. You need to wash the donor area very well. Otherwise, scarb may occur in the area where it is taken. We don’t want this to happen.
Post-Process Care
In this process, we recommend that you take vitamin supplements as well as ozone oil treatment. In this process, we recommend using ozonated oil treatment and vitamin supplement products. We stay in touch with our guests for 12-18 months after hair transplantation and provide the necessary support after all stages. We recommend that you have PRP treatment on a monthly basis.
And The Result
Now it’s time for results. Your transplanted hair will continue to grow from the 3rd to the 12th month and you will get the final result at the end of the 12th month. Your stay in contact with us during this 9-month period will affect the outcome. Your representative will ask you for photos of your hair on a monthly basis. The clearer and more timely you send the photos, the more timely we will intervene and the better the result will be.

How Does the Process Work Before and After Hair Transplantation for Women?
Before a hair transplant procedure for women, the patient will typically have a consultation with the surgeon to discuss their goals and expectations for the procedure. The surgeon will examine the patient's hair and scalp to determine the best course of treatment. They may also take photos for the patient's medical record.
The surgeon will explain the different techniques that can be used to perform the hair transplant and help the patient choose the one that is best suited to their needs. They will also discuss the potential risks and benefits of the procedure and any other considerations, such as the cost and the expected recovery time.
If the patient decides to proceed with the procedure, the surgeon will provide instructions on how to prepare for the surgery. This may include instructions on how to care for the hair and scalp in the days leading up to the procedure, as well as any medications that should be avoided.
After the procedure, the patient will need to follow the surgeon's instructions on how to care for the transplanted hair and scalp. This may include using special shampoos and avoiding certain activities (such as vigorous exercise) in the first few days after the surgery. The patient may also be prescribed medications to help reduce swelling and promote healing.
It is important for the patient to follow the surgeon's instructions carefully to ensure the best possible results. The transplanted hair will fall out within a few weeks of the procedure, but new hair should begin to grow in within a few months. The full results of the transplant may not be visible for several months to a year.
What is the different Female hair transplant and Male hair transplant?
There are some differences between hair transplants for men and women, although the basic principles of the procedure are the same. One of the main differences is that male-pattern hair loss (androgenetic alopecia) typically presents differently than female-pattern hair loss. Men tend to lose hair on the top of the head and the front of the hairline, while women tend to experience thinning of the hair on the top of the head and along the hairline. This can affect the way the transplant is planned and the techniques used to perform the procedure.
Another difference is that women often have a higher density of hair on the back and sides of the head, which can be used as donor hair for the transplant. In men, the donor hair may be less dense, which can make it more challenging to achieve the desired results.
Finally, women's hair is often finer and more delicate than men's, which can affect the way the transplanted hair grows and looks. This can be taken into account by the surgeon during the planning and execution of the procedure.
FAQ About Woman Hair Transplant
Is a hair transplant painful?
Most patients report minimal discomfort during and after a hair transplant procedure. Local anesthesia is used to numb the area during the procedure, and pain medication may be prescribed to help manage any discomfort afterwards.
How long does a hair transplant take?
The length of a hair transplant procedure will depend on the extent of the hair loss and the technique being used. In general, the procedure can take several hours to a full day to complete.
How long does it take to recover from a hair transplant?
Recovery time after a hair transplant will vary from person to person, but most patients can return to work and other normal activities within a few days. Strenuous exercise and other activities that could cause sweating should be avoided for a week or two after the procedure.
Will the transplanted hair look natural?
The goal of a hair transplant is to create a natural-looking result. The surgeon will carefully match the color, texture, and direction of the transplanted hair to the surrounding hair to ensure a seamless blend.
Is a hair transplant permanent?
A hair transplant is considered a permanent solution to hair loss. The transplanted hair should continue to grow and function like normal hair for the rest of the patient's life. However, it is important to note that hair loss can continue to progress even after a hair transplant, and additional procedures may be needed to address ongoing hair loss.
